Project Manager
Rhino Constructors LLC, Commerce City, CO seeks Project Manager. A project manager in the deck building industry has a wide range of responsibilities to ensure the successful planning, execution, and completion of deck construction projects.
1. Project Planning:
Develop project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation. Identify project goals, milestones, and deliverables.2. Client Communication:
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, discussing project requirements, providing updates, and addressing any concerns or changes throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Permitting and Compliance:
Ensure that all necessary permits, codes, and regulations are obtained and adhered to throughout the project. This may involve working with local authorities and regulatory bodies.
4. Resource Management:
Coordinate and allocate resources, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors, to ensure efficient project execution.
5. Risk Management:
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on the project timeline and budget.
6. Budgeting and Cost Control:
Develop and manage project budgets, track expenses, and control costs to ensure projects are completed within the established financial parameters.
7. Scheduling and Coordination:
Create and manage project schedules, coordinate tasks, and ensure timely completion of each phase of the project.
8. Quality Control:
Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure that work meets industry standards, client expectations, and contractual requirements.
9. Team Leadership:
Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, including deck builders, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, to ensure that everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.
10. Safety Compliance:Promote and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment for all project participants.
11. Change Management:
Manage project changes effectively, including assessing the impact of change requests, obtaining client approval, and adjusting project plans as necessary.
12. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports. Provide regular project updates to clients and stakeholders.
13. Post-Project Evaluation:
Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance future project performance.
These duties require strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of the deck building industry and construction project management principles. The Project Manager position would travel occasionally, approximately two to three times per year, to the foothills area surrounding the Denver metro area.
As an example, the Project Manager may travel to Evergreen1 CO, a town approximately one hour away from the Denver Metro area. The Project Manager would meet with the team leader on site, as well as the customer, to ensure that the project is proceeding smoothly and to address any issues or concerns that the client may have. Travel would be within an easily commutable distance from the Denver Metro area, and would be infrequent.
Requires 2 years or more field experience in deck construction with strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, team members, and other entities. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes related to deck construction. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans. Familiarity with cost estimating, budgeting, and financial management. Leadership and team management skills to effectively lead and coordinate project teams.
